Alone, no - but coupled with other aggravations, probably.
If one looks at it as just a piece of rope with a knot tied in it, no. If one sees it as something more, and is offended, then yes. I see many dummies hanged at halloween. I am not offended. Many times those who are offended by this or that are simply looking for a confrontation. They have a particular agenda and see these things as a way to bring attention to their agenda.
This would assume that this person is wrong either way, having to 'tolerate' him/her. I don't like where you're coming from.
