  • To me .. that verse is not saying that the earth does not move.. but that it is set steady and not tottering.. meaning unsteady. Not to sound silly .. but it is not going to roll away.. or spin us crazy.. etc. I do believe it is methaphorically and literally. I will not go into the deeper meaning but I believe it was done with a perfection only He has.
  • Like Galileo, who was convicted of heresy, I believe it is a metaphor.
