I'm thinking of getting an anklet tattoo, (music running around it, as i teach piano) just wondering if it would look trashy to most people, as a teacher i dont want to give the wrong impression?

This is one opinion and take it with a grain of salt. I think it would be great and actually compliments the work that you do. I don't think there is anything thrashy about a tattoo. As far as the wrong impression, how many people are going to be looking at your ankle anyway?

It sounds absolutely cool! I can picture piano keys and notes in a wrap around style, looking feminine and dainty. Be sure to check out the artist ahead of time to make sure he or she understands exactly what you want, and give it the style you have in mind. Have fun! -

i think partially it might have to do with the socioeconomic level of the children that you teach and what other attire you might be wearing. personally i think that would encourage me to take my sisters or kids to you as a teacher, but some people might be a little more...frigid...if you dress respectably enough to begin with i think it would only enhance your impression as a teacher. hav fun with it and go for it. the quality of your teaching will surely speak louder than the ink on your ankle

I would find it inspiring. It shows that you really love what you do, which is the key to being a wonderful teacher. And given, some of the parents may not see it this way (the few traditional parents who are still out there), but you can wear pants and socks in cases like that.

That sounds like a feminine, delicate design. Perhaps incorporate some color shading to the notes. I don't see how that could come off as being trashy to be honest.

My English teacher has a sun/moon tattoo on the outside of her right ankle and it looks really nice. But I suppose it depends on where you live and where you teach. I personally think you should go for it.
