My 95 chevy van 5.7L bogs down when accelerating. It's hard to start and runs rough. Removing a vacuum line off of the intake manifold helps idel. Replaced erg, plugs, wires, oxy, filters. Fuel Prs OK. Any suggestions. Thanks

Any codes showing? I fought with a 95 GM (Saturn) for a few months because of a sensor problem. Try this should be a connector or plug under the dash with three metal tabs showing. jumping two of these pins with the key in the run position will give a series of flashcodes (your service engine soon light will blink) there is a code 1-2 one blink a pause then two blinks that will repeat three times. Then other codes present will flash. each repeats three times. (some cars also use the over temp light as well) once you have these codes written down, you can try to look them up on the web, or parts places like auto zone who want you to do the work yourself may be willing to guide you. Some parts places will run the basic code check for you ,call them and ask.

Yank the distributor cap and check for carbon. 83-95 HEI units were famous for carbon tracking.

Check if you are getting tooo much fuel

Go to the library and look at a mechanics manual. All library's have these for all makes and models and can give you detailed instructions to complete the task.The librarian can help locate what manual you need.
