  • I was under severe stress at one point, I wont get into it. But I took a break, thought things over, began lifting weights more and got more sleep. I filtered all the negitive things/people in my life, and I am replacing them with positives. I am feeling more rested, clean, strong and ready. Babysteps....babysteps.

  • Stress is a word used a lot these days but surprisingly few people understand what stress is. Stress is required for survival. Normal levels of stress are required for every day motivational and creative activity. Example, I must get out of bed to go to work, this is a thought which triggers a set of signals which in turn prepare the body to carry out this action. In extreme situations we call it fight or flight responses, this is about survival and preservation of ones life when threatened by extreme danger. The physiological responses are much more drastic, to mention just a few, thickening of the blood to prevent blood loss, diverting blood to the most needed areas of the body, quickened heart beat, etc. The problem is that many people these days are living on the edge by leading very stressful lives so the body is in a permanent state of arousal (flight or fight response) which gives rise to many physical mental and emotional problems since there is no real danger to deal with excepting yourself maybe. Regular moderate exercise, healthy diet, calming music, meditation and the like are all good ways to deal with stress. Cut out any activity which is over stimulating. Best of all see a qualified Stress Counsellor who will be able to help you identify the stressors in your life and importantly agree a plan which will help you to manage your stress more effectively.

  • Oprah once said this on here show many years ago- " look at your life- identify what is stressing you out- then get rid of it" very true....i have lived by those words and it works all the time. My husband was making my life miserable- so i kicked him out and divorced him. ......sometimes one must make changes to their lives in order to take control of it. Make this YOUR life and dont let anyone else run it for you! You will also respect yourself more.

Crying and eating chocolate only makes u feel worse. Crying wont change anything, only u can tackle the problem, I always think to myself 'crying wont change it, only i can so wot am i gona do about it' I hate talking to people about my problems so I write it down on paper e.g. a letter to the person who upset me, then i burn it, then i feel sooooooooooo much better

  • Deal with this & stress will seem like a piece of cake. Really tho taking a nice long walk seems to help out. Try to enjoy the day my FRIEND......
  • Smoke a cigarette. take a walk. listen to music or watch a movir or tv shows that you enjoy to watch.
  • If there is a problem that can be solved, I try to solve the problem as soon as possible. If the problem is major, I can't get any rest until it is solved or at least in the making to be solved. If my family or myself is ill, which has been the case recently, the stress really doesn't get relieved. If I can do something about it, I do everything in my power and then after that, I try to divert my mind or vent. That is how I found answerbag. Family illness is one of the worse stressors. Financial takes a second. Also, I try to get enough sleep and eat properly to help me deal with the stress. All of the rest of the small things in life are trivial. I do not stress over life's everyday disappointments for the most part. When I feel overtaxed, I might loose it for a short while but I get back on track.
