  • Sorry I got cut off.... for not paying rent even tho the courts said I couldnt live there because they thought I would be in danger, for not filing for homestead exeption for our house tax's, and not signing a insurance claim because we had a busted pipe in the house. Can he do this? I have nothing I had to move back in with my grandparents because I to get my own apartment they wanted me to make at least enought to cover the mortage payment of 790 plus the apt cost 640 each month which I chouldnt show(outragous)
  • You are still responsible for the house if you bought it with him so he does have that right. I highly doubt he was given the house because he had no family in the state, that is not how it works. He can sue you for not signing to have a pipe burst insurance claim signed because that most likely caused more damage to the dwelling establishment. Nonetheless, he has every right, if you are both on the deed, he can do that. You need to be more managable and if something needs to be done, do it. I am sure there is more than what is said but yes, he can and has every right. He can legally have you pay off the mortgage if he takes you to court.
  • Ah the things people fail to consider when shacking up or writing things down in the form of a pre-nup. ;-) You know all of the legal fees that you tried to avoid earlier? You get to pay them now. Sorry.
  • OH too late but a great warning to others never ever buy with a boyfriend or girlfriend.
