I don't think it's wrong. I think it's great presenting your ideas. Anyhow, that's what makes the AB community special, by having everyone presenting their own ideas, and who they are, and how are the ways they live and learn.

No, I don't think it's wrong when someone wants to share themselves with others. I was really guarded when I first got here, but now I am getting a lot more comfortable and opening up a lot more. It feels good.

Wrong? Hmm. I don't see it as a matter of right or wrong. Certainly there's a place for promoting your ideas, and even for promoting yourself -- such as in a job interview. Then there's times when it's not appropriate; when life is calling for you to hush up and listen, or to coordinate with others, or to accept criticism of those ideas, or even to question what is meant by "yourself"! So much in life depends on being able to fit your actions to the situation, so to have a rule that says "I will never self-promote" is probably as bad as having a rule that says "I will ALWAYS self-promote". There's no "one right way to be" that works all the time.

When and how you do so help determine your effectiveness. Take initiative when you feel that you are being overlooked or that your ideas have merit. Others will be ignorant of your abilities if you don't.....
