  • I have played guitar since 1959. Go to a music store or Google a book of Guitar Chords. They have fingering diagrams for a lot of guitar chords, and songs with the chords shown. Practice and practice, both with the book and the stereo or radio. When you can play most of the chords, find other books like The Beatles 1964-1968, Led Zeppelin, Albums 1, 2. and 3, Neal Young's Best, etc.
  • The web has a TON of resources for aspiring guitarists. Just do a Google search. You may also be able to find some friends to jam & learn with at your local guitar store. (That may not be true at larger chain-store operations). There are also a variety of books available. Good luck! :o)
  • If you are beginning, I would recommmend the Hal Leonard Guitar Course - Complete edition. It is available with CDs to play along with for about $23. This book covers all the basics such as notes, chords, songs and different techniques. After learning the "bascs," you could get a different book or video on a particular style you might want to learn more about.
