It can be answered only in terms of probability. One sperm cell is really all it takes, but the odds against that are astronomical. One drop of semen may contain a million cells, but one drop is probably not enough to ensure conception. A normal ejaculate contains from 10 million to 40 million sperm cells, but only one will get through. I don't like to answer out of context. If you're trying to avoid, get a pregnancy test kit at the pharmacy; if you're trying to conceive, see your gynecologist.
