  • I worked for Monsanto for a couple of years in St. Louis. They are the largest aspirin maker in the world. They invented Nutri-Sweet. They make L-Dopa which is used to treat Alzheimer's. All in all, they are a good company.
  • I'm aware that the company is huge and diverse. Nothing specific.
  • Oh, you mean the creators of the terminator gene and the patenter of all things useful and living? THAT Monsanto? They are simply the most evil, diabolical, dangerous for the whole planet company of all time. The GMO manipulations they promote are polluting the planet on such a grand scale, so different from other types of pollution, like oil or toxins. Those can be diluted or break down. But genes and cells are living things and can multiply and pollute our natural gene pools of nearly everything growing on earth. There has already been gene drift happening where they claim something is sterile but then when they cross with something else it can become fertile again. I can't say enough bad about Monsanto. You've hit my one HUGE sore spot.
  • I am supposed to have an interview with them pretty soon. Does anyone know if they do on-the-spot drug screening at the interview? If so, what kind of drug test do they use? Hair, saliva, urine, etc.???
  • I know that they are one of the major "agribusiness" corporations, and are responsible for designing "terminator genes" in grain seeds so that farmers cannot save and reuse their leftover seeds for the next crop cycle. They're also responsible for the hormones that are given to cows to produce more milk, even though there is a huge milk surplus in the US. Honestly, I've never heard anything good about Monsanto.
