Love it, so long as it's cooked right. If it's cooked to the consistency of boot leather, it's rather nasty.

Yes. I cook it so that it isn't dry and it is wonderful. Venison also makes outstanding stew.

Oh yes. We have a freezer full of venison and elk. I prefer the elk but the venison is also tasty.

Oh yes! It's a tradition in our house whenever someone gets a deer, they get the tenderloin for breakfast, and they always have to share with the cook (who happens to be me!).

We call it backstrap where I come from but yes, I love it.
