  • Sorry to tell you this, but I'm not interested in points. I'm interested in learning what other people think and letting them know what I think..my goal is to have people feel they didn't waste their time when we're "talking"..and I don't want to waste my time either. So I only answer those questions that are of interest to me..and some days go by in which I don't ask a single question, because I had nothing to offer that would be of interest to me..I only ask questions that I want to answer. If others are motivated by quantity of questions/answers in order to rack up points, it doesn't bother me in the least..it has nothing to do with me. :)
  • You get more points generally by asking questions than by answering them.
  • I think the concept of points is the worst feature of this website. Sometimes my answers are short and fast, sometimes they are long and I take my time writing them, depending on the question. I think I write more in the comments then in the answers, and we don't get any points for those.
  • I guess that is a matter of personal opinion. There are some wonderful answers that are very short and to the point without need for further explination. Like "What color is your hair today?", and then you reply with "Green." If you want to go further into detail with it, you say why it is green, if you like that it is green, if green means something special to you, etc. Doesn't work with every type of question, but can work with many. Length doesn't always make quality.
