I remember reading his book "Private Parts" about ten years ago. I couldn't believe some of the things he talked about. There was a chapter on lesbians and all the people in show business he hated.
I remember him saying that he hoped that Cindy Crawford would get disfigured in a car accident, and that Kathy Lee Gifford's baby was the "demon child". That crossed the line for me, the guy seems kind of evil, plus he's a major perve. No wonder his wife left him!

He gave a good friend of mine and my husband's a job, though, and now he has an opportunity to build the networking he needs to achieve what he ultimately wants - to produce and direct comedy movies. Richard's HILARIOUS... few people have the sense of humour he does. Awesome drummer too, he is ^_^ So we thank Stern for that at least.

He is a total perverted loser that's only claim to fame is that he has been on the air for over 25 years. He is a terrible interviewer, extremely ugly, and thinks he is much more important than he really is. If he was a janitor somewhere, there is NO WAY that Beth O would even be REMOTELY interested in him. She is most certainly in that relationship for the money/fame that he can grant her. I am sure that his naked 54 year old body is as horrible as he says it is. The only REAL fans of his are blue collar losers that have no real life of thier own. I am not trying to start a class war, but those folks that LIKE him are people with no real redeeming qualities of thier own. I have been on SternFanNetwork and you would not believe the amount of worthless trolls there. Low class white trash....that is his fan base...plain and simple. This is not my OPINION..but fact.

I'm on the fence with this question. Although I find his show funny, as I am an infrequent listener, I don't think I particularly care for his "persona". Perhaps he's a person that I could like when he's not on the radio being his character.

I think he's a douche bag. I used to like him because he said things that most people don't, but later on I realized that other people don't say those things because they're stupid. But I've never heard him say anything that really shocked or offended me. I don't know if that's because I haven't listened enough, or because I'm hard to offend, but from what I have heard him say, even though he's a douche, he should be allowed to say it. if people don't like it, they don't have to listen.

I don't exactly know what "douche bag" means, but it doesn't sound like a compliment. Stern doesn't seem to me to be the most honorable person..just another hanger-on, user and manipulator of his meal ticket. Whatever you think of Anna Nicole Smith, she did not deserve her fate and anyone who participated in her demise either by omission or comission should pay for it, one way or another, sooner or later, in this world or the next..:(

Howard Stern is tasteless, and not in funny in any way, shape, or form. I don't care if it's satire. Relentless bathroom humor and lesbian jokes get old after, I don't know, the first time? No, I've known that for years. If you take a close look at talk radio hosts, there are a lot of douchebags among them (e.g.; Howard Stern, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, Micharl Savage, Dennis Miller, etc.).
