Are there any endurance motorcycle races (excluding Dakar, Finke & Baja 1000 as they are bike & car races) in the same way that there is Le Mans or Bathurst? Does the Isle of Man race count as an Enduro?

What about the Roof of Africa that was completed in Nov/Dec in Lesotho, Southern Africa. Although only around 700km, it is very grueling. Only 10% of the field completed the 2007 event. see http://www.roof-of-africa.com/

There is a bike only endurance and strength race called Extreme Rally Raid which runs from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It IS SHORT BUT EXTREME in terrain and weather and the get lost in the middle of nowhere factor. If you get lost, its the sweeper that have to look for you- no choppers. There is also the Rally Raid de Himalaya. Its also extreme as in there are about thousand foot drops and falling rocks. These are not publicity type TV with trophy rallies. These are real lone wolf rallies for people that arent afraid to do it on bare bike and backpack. No support teams and all that 1st world treatment. These rallies can just about kill you.... I always wondered what was so great about the 'Long Way Around' series. They couldn't fix their own bikes....
