The HIV epidemic is threatening many sub-Saharan countries, like Botswana, mostly due to HIV transmission through injecting drug use and unsafe sex. The current infection rate is 39%.

In a country like Botswana, almost all transmission is due to unprotected sex, not drug use. Unfortunately there's not a lot of eductaion about how it is spread and a lot of rumours about it.
