Here where i live if a 16 yr old got pregnant and started livin with someone older then its legal but the 16 yr old cant even rent an 18 film. it just doesnt make sense. any comments?

Here in the UK a 16 yr old can marry with parents permission or legally leave home, yet cant purchase alcohol, rent over18 dvd now cant buy cigarettes and cant vote, strange but true :o)

If a 16 year old gets pregnant, the law pretty much has to allow her to become emancipated through pregnancy. There's no going backwards and she is considered an adult because she has placed herself in an adult situation. The lesser laws -- ratings of films, alcohol use, etc. - are in place to keep kids safe from adult thigns while they're still kids.
