It's always nice when people are recognized properly for their work.
-
Yes, he did. From the site of Nobel Prize itself: "The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 is to be shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change." http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2007/press.html

Yes he did.

He won the prize for lies? In the 70's they warned about global cooling. This horrific disaster was still being predicted in an article in Newsweek as recently as 1992. I guess the political greens thought hot was scarier so they switched. MOST scientists do NOT believe in global warming. Several thousand signed a statement to that fact. The noisy ones with political clout (or more likely "urged" by politicians) get heard and that's why so many ordinary people believe it. Sort of like when the hippies bunched up in front of the cameras to appear like they were a much bigger crowd.

Al Gore's grade in college for a class called "Natural Science 6" (Man's place in Nature) was a D. ~Washington Post ...."I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen....." ~Al Gore states clearly that his so-called "facts" are exaggerated about global warming in an interview with Grist magazine

Yes, I couldn't believe it myself, thought they should have a recount, or pull some hanging chads, get the surpreme court involved. Imagine ole Busheyboy getting the Noble anything Prize!
