Asia. The Burj Dubai in Dubai, UAE recently became the tallest building in the world, although it is still under construction, surpassing the Taipei 101 (also in Asia). -IR

G'day I agree Emma, Thank you for your question. The world's tallest building is the Burj Dubai in Dubai which is in Asia. It is still under construction but overtook the CN Tower in Toronto Ontario last month. I have attached sources for your reference. Currently, the tallest building is Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which is an island off the coast of China, so I'll say Asia.

North America ... Toronto was at the time of these write ups and photos ... ... check out these photos of skylines ... http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_apr2007/Skylines_Of_The_World.htm ... but, after checking again, it seems Asia has a taller one now, and it is not yet finnished ... the Burj Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
