Have you asked her to share the good things too? Ask her what kind of progress your child is making, how is she doing with learning the songs? Once you've asked a few questions, it should be easier for the teacher to know what kind of information you would like her to share. Good luck.

Tell her first, what a phenomenal teacher she is, then, "politely" say that you have them 24/7 and you know what they "do badly", but since she has them to teach things to, what can she tell you about that?

This makes me really upset, the Teacher should know that there is no need to only focus on the bad, she should be focusing on the good, and looking for the good in every single child. No wonder the children are "misbehaving" (being children) for her, she is not providing any positive encouragement for them to thrive on. You could look at her weekly plan and point out parts that you find interesting, and things that you think your child would be interested in, ask her how your child is participating in experiences that you know your child enjoys. Ask your child what they like about Kindergarten when in the car on the way home, many later they may forget what they did that day. Children’s days are full of learning, both deliberate and accidental. Don’t worry though, your child will be learning at kindergarten, even if the isn’t very good and keeping families involved in the process. Amy
