  • The only reason I can think off is that you insult the US government. I guess someone took offence and flagged it, then the moderator looked at it and also took offence. Personaly I find it quite amusing.
  • *EDIT* It's offensive to anyone in the US, or to anyone who isn't trying to do bad things overseas. Some people are there because they want to make a difference or REALLY need the money. Asking people what they think about US contractors (sp?) in Iraq without calling them mercenaries who the US government use to commit atrocities would have been less offensive. All contractors don't do that. You can't logically or fairly say that because there's a problem with a few people that are part of a group that the whole group has the same problem. There are bad cops and good cops, bad presidents *cough*BUSH*cough* and good presidents, bad mothers and good mothers. Saying that because one mom drowned her kids in a bathtub that all mothers everywhere are crazy murderers doesn't make sense.
  • If you consistently use a US owned website to launch vitriolic attacks on US citizens and institutions you are going to be remembered by many of those citizens. As they find pretty well everything you have to say offensive some of them are bound to flag your contributions as offensive. The moderators, also being US citizens, no doubt find a great deal from which to take offence and agreed on this particular occasion.
  • Bottom line, people were given a chance to state their case, they turned down the offer. The wording of the question may have been provocative in that it was a leading question but the opportunity was there to correct the asker and lead him into the light but no one used it. Instead they tried to bury the question.
  • It got rejected because the Government is inside your megabits, and it is offensive because the Government doesn't want to keep being reminded about it's blundering failures in the 'human rights' department.
  • I didn't find the question offensive, in and of itself, but the undertone I did. You ask questions quite often that are very critical of the USA. I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't think that it should have been censored, but I think that the blunt overtones of your questions come into play. You obviously have a very strong opinion of the USA, and for whatever reason, you make those opinions quite known, sometimes to the extent that you deliberately insult us. I'm an american, and though we're not perfect, there is no place else I would rather be. I have been all over the world, so I have some life experiences to base my belief.
  • Honestly i dont find it offensive. So yeah it could insulting americans, only if you want it too. The wording clearly insults the government not the people. And really what kind of moron would think they are talking about americans instead of bush. I mean honestly.
  • I think there is nothing wrong with asking that question and facilitating the discussion. If people don't like it, they can comment and rate how they wish. Looks like censorship to me.
