i think its great when people are close to their family at least it shows you that family is very important to him for when you start your own.

No I would not be bothered at all. I would be more concerned with a girl who treated her family like dirt than with a girl who was close to her family.

Being a tight knit family is great. the world needs a lot more of it. But, i sense a problem here, if you two married. it appears that this would continue and you might be left out of the family circle or ignored. I communicate with my wife about 2-3 times a day. i think this is about the norm for most people. Ten times a day, for some reason, raises a red flag of a problem. I could be wrong.

It wouldn't bother me at all. My hubby & I are both Italian & family is VERY important to us. My hubby talks to one of his brothers & his sister everyday. To be honest, I am actually a little jealous of how close he is with his family because I wish I still had that same relationship w/ my family. After my mom died 10 yrs ago, it seems like my family has grown apart. I am the baby of 7. 5 boys & 2 girls. Whenever I get a chance, I try to get my brothers & sister together for a reunion, dinner, or whatever. I miss how close we used to be. You should be thankful of how close he is to his family because it's proof that family is important to him. If things progress for the 2 of you, it should show you how things will be in your life w/ your kids, in-laws, etc. Family should be the most important thing because they will stick by you no matter what happens.

Yes it would bother me. Although it's nice to be so close with family it can really hurt a relationship. I know a guy who comes home from work, his wife asks him about his day, he mumbles, & then phones his Mom & tells her all about his day (about an hour's conversation). This is not right.

No way if he is going to his families who cares. Atleast he's not going to the "guys house" like mine does. You know what he is doing I don't have a clue what ol' boy is doing at the "guys house." Don't trip.
