possibly if it/they were rabid, but I can't imagine any other way.

It is not possible for a rabbit to kill someone unless they are rabid, and they aren't a species that gets rabies often in the wild. And it might be possible for someone to get an infection from a scratch, but that's hardly the rabbit killing the person. Even a huge Flemish Giant isn't big enough to kill.

If enough of them get together (by breeding like rabbits), they can ruin all our crops and starve us (or, in today's world, at least send a few farmers bankrupt). I don't know if they have ever succeeded, but the threat was enough to encourage some blokes to build a bloody big fence down the middle of Australia and I'm sure they would've preferred to be doing something else at the time.
