Good question. I would say Stanford because there record over the past few years is about 19-41. They were 41 point underdogs. Most of the college football experts were predicting USC to battle for the National Championship. I don't think Michigan was considered to be that good this year. Before this weekend, I would have not thought a bigger upset would happen as the Appalachian State victory.

actually the bigger upset was appalachian state, they were the first divison 2 team to ever beat a ranked bcs team (michigan was ranked #5 in the country)
