I'm in college. I'm not street smart. I'm booksmart and resourceful. I'll probably end up with a PhD in Computer Science and unable to communicate with anyone except though binary or public-key encrypted strings.
-
I'm last year of high school before college, but far from street smart. Some things are common sense, some are intuition, and others I know from some other random source.
-
I'm College Educated. I'm slowly, but surely, getting my BA in Philosophy with a Minor/Dual Major in Psychology. After that I'm going to get a Ph.D. in Philosophy and perhaps another BS in Physics.
-
myself, just a high school education and 42 years of life under my belt
-
What if we do not qualify for the first question are we able to not answer the second question as well? - I have a lot of personal experiance(street smart) and right now going to college to get what you say is "college educated".
-
No college just high school. Just life smart I guess.
-
I graduated college, and taught there. Plus, I read a lot. :)
-
Dropped out of college the first time (before they threw me out), spent a decade living, then went back for my Associates Degree. Call it a combination of both.
-
I'm 53 and the lot is street smart, didn't do uni(in australia after high school)i did a trade (in fact 3 ) but I have never stopped learning along the way so a little brains and a lot of street smart can go hand in hand ..helps you cut through the b.s. and sugar coatings and 'political correctness' of todays thin skinned society and my degree's are the lines on my face and the grey hair(whats left ) so yeah in thats sense I did go to college ...the college called "life"
-
Hey Frank- I have college, Masters (and nearing Doctorate) degrees, but studying Buddhism and life experience has helped me learn much. I'm not sure I give intelligent answers, but I do hope to help others, just the same. :)
-
If I'm included, thanks! I'm both. =)
-
I graduated high school & have been a stay at home mom forever, but I do learn things from the College people on here
-
Just a street smart who is about to get in to college.
-
High school 2 year writing course (college level) read all the time street smart Not sure I really should be answering this question!!!
-
i have a professional license. but i think intelligent answers, have nothing to do with schooling or street smarts. it all has to do with what you learned in life. someone who lives in a lower education area, and has dropped out of school at a young age may be smarter in say farming. were a collage grad. may not even know how to grow a simple house plant. life lessons, which are differ than street smarts. street smarts will keep you alive and out of trouble.
-
I never went to college. I have learned many life lessons, though.
-
No college education here. Maybe once my youngest starts kindergarten, I'll go back.
-
guess
-
I graduated from high school. The rest of my education came from life itself.
-
Both... I went to a couple different colleges and focused studies on several things. Plus, I've gone through more life experiences than a 20-something should ever go through. But all experiences are learning experiences. So, yeah, both.
-
Sorry I am just the dummy of the lot. All the other's here on AB are the educated ones. Anyway thanks for the good question it earned a +3........M.C.S.
-
some college, some life, some street

I only have a high school education, but was excepted to college for a degree in education. Never got ot go though. Most of what I know comes from living and the rest comes from educating myself and talking to others. Coming from a family that is a mixture of the college and life educated I've found that the ones who've learned from life are way more knowledgeable then the one's who sat in a class room and listened to lectures. They've actuall learned how to think for themselves instead of regurgitating someone else's ideas.
-
I would say more street smart. I went to college for children's lit and child development, so I guess you could say I'm mommy smart too!
-
I am blessed to have it all. *evil grin*
-
I have never been to college... not yet, anyway. And I'm not very street smart at all... I just read a lot. A LOT.
-
I am in High School. (( Now, will you take my advice?)) I am just a horny school child.
-
Both.
-
I've never been to college and have no desire to go anytime soon. Just educated through high school and life. Mostly life. I learned SO much more about people and life in six months of boot camp than I did in four years of school.
-
I don't know about intelligent answers OR street smarts, but I have a BS in Mathematics. I chose math partly because it was the major with the smallest requirements so I could branch out and take classes in other things I was interested in. I ended up with almost-minors in political science, philosophy, psychology, computer science and music along with my math major. I think that having a well-rounded education helps create a more well-rounded person, and that probably helps fool you all into thinking I give intelligent, street-smart answers!

I am university educated to Bachelors level within the UK, currently doing a Masters. A UK Bachelors is equivalent to a US Masters. A UK Masters does not have an equivalent in the US but is generally considered to be half way towards a PHD. I am also educated from the streets. I grew in a very rough are with people getting stabbed and shot weekly if not daily.
-
I've taken three college classes in my life. All for audit because I just wanted to learn a bit about chemistry. Other than that, I have a high school diploma that is about 25 years old.
-
I have a bachelors but I also spend the day answering people's questions. I study human nature and I'm a people watcher. Not sure about street smart...different things to different people. I generally "get" what's going on around me.
-
I'm just street smart! LOL :O)
-
I have never been to college infact I don't even have a highschool diploma. So you could say I am just plan old fashion street smart.
-
I made it through 2 years of college before my life went chaotic and I had to quit. (going back to finish soon!!) I don't know if you would consider me street smart. My mom would always tell me that I had the misfortune of being "Wise beyond my years", because I was forced to grow up way too quickly. Does that make sense?
-
LOL, Depends on who you ask. I could be flippant and say that I gleaned most of my knowledge from reading comic books, cereal boxes, and bubble gum wrappers, but that wouldn't begin to explain my collection of dusty diplomas.
