Not really... The way i read the question -- both boys and girls assaulted girls -- in my view, boys assaulting girls is different than girls assaulting girls. Hard to imagine a court that would tolerate males assaulting females under any circumstances.

Jeez glad I'm not a child today. I pulled Nan Berkhold's hair in the Seventh grade, but then, she beat me up after school. In those days boys and girls took care of their own mess. This above foolishness is nothing more than a prosecutor attempting to get some "air time"

She may have been biased but it may have had more to do with who she was defending. Since I didn't see the espisode I can't fairly judge. There could have bene other tings that came into play: - How often the guys hit the girls (crossed the line from playing to harassment)? - Was there any rude dialouge? - What did the girls say to get the boys prosecuted? - Were the girls younger?
