Our city has an annual St. Patricks Day Parade.

Indianapolis IN. We do indeed celebrate St Patty's day! We get all dressed up in green, go to the pubs and drink green beer until we cannot stand without the aid of a wall or friend, return home and proceed to say hello to our beer again, this time on the way up. Usually then another round of drinking commences until the entire process is repeated. Some drinkers may experience a fling with an ugly person during the evening.

Here in the US everything is turned into a party, and even a religious holiday like St. Patricks day is no exception. I do not go out and party on St. Patricks day, but I do try to make it to mass or at least get in one full rosary that day.

In Australia celebrating St patricks means wearing something green, going to the local Irish themed pub and drinking large amounts of alcohol.
