I am a 50 y/o woman and that is why i feel invisible. It works to my advantage, now.

I'm the same age and sex. I guess we aren't young enough to be sexy and exciting, and aren't old enough to receive the kindness and respect that "old" people are afforded. Economically, with the kids out of the house and retirement "around the corner" I guess we aren't economically interesting either! Of course I'm generalizing, but this may be what people surmise when they see us. I'm not concerned about it; it's just another phase and at this point, if I'm invisible I really don't care! I'm sure I can find ways to flourish while flying under the radar.
