  • Yes, not realizing that it's already been asked and posting it just to have it merged with another question is more frustrating to me.
  • Even more frustrating is when you have an old question and they merge a new one with dozens of answers with yours . You spend two hours rating and commenting on them all (I had one with over 120 answers) Then they decide it is not an exact duplicate and move them all back again.
  • Yes, especially if it was asked differently and you don't feel it's a duplicate... ah well. How many questions are on this site? We can't keep up with them all. I'm sure you have many more brilliant questions to come. =)
  • it sucks, but what can you do.
  • How about the frustration of finding that your brilliant answer to a question was given by someone else during the time you were typing it in, and now you look like a copycat?
  • yes it can be a little .. but its good to know there are other great brains out there besides my own .....lol
  • Yes, there are greater frustrations than that in life. Just relax. And send a nice answer to that previous bagger.
  • It sure hurts my heart. :(
  • Yes and that's why I try to check that it's been asked but at times this can slip through the cracks especially for congratulatory type questions. Recently I asked a question congratulating a certain user and I did not realize that someone else also asked a question congratulating the same person but since I knew the user under his real AB name I was unaware that someone else already had done so. So hence I have now earned the opprobrium of a certain user who originally asked the question for the current guise of the user whereas I had no privy knowledge that this happened since I did so based upon the long standing name of the user and hence the original asker is all up in a huff because I did not recognize that this had happened many a day ago and therefore a rift has seemed to be created by this person due to the fact that this lack of acknowledgment has been noticed.
  • You just stole my question.
