I strongly believe that children can see spirits because they aren't conditioned to tune them out yet, so I'd say it's possible.
-
Yes, they can. Babies/toddlers and cats/dogs are very intuned to the spirit world. (But, it could also be something so simple as the fact that he has been taught that Caleb is in heaven, and is simply pointing upwards.)

I think young people can see things that can't be explained any other way. The day my Dad died, my 4 year old nephew told his parents he had a new friend in his room. The friend had big wings, and his name was Jack. My brother had refused contact with Dad since we were kids. They lived 400 miles apart. My nephew never met him, didn't know his name was Jack, and didn't know he had died. There is nobody on earth that could convince me this was all just a coincidence.

I think if you ask a one year old the location of something or somebody that isn't there, and in this case he has never seen, the baby is likely to point to random places. Up is as likely as anywhere else if he's been conditioned to understand that that is where Caleb has gone.

Aidyn (the one year old) has never been told that Caleb is up in heaven, pointing upwards. Aidyn did this on his own. Staring as if he sees something. Another odd thing. My daughter went to cut Aidyn's hair and got too close so she ended up having to shave his head. There around his head was a ring in the shape of a halo.

I believe children can see spirits, the veil has not fully closed at this point. My son talked about my cuz, TJ who passed and he never met him. He knew about where he lived and he talked about how he died. He was only 3 i know a child wouldn't know something like that, especially when TJ had been dead for over 4 years. Ask him more questions and he will beable to tell you more about it when he is older.

I believe children can see spirits, my 4 yr old niece walked into my Grandma's hospital room, shrieked and ran out of there crying. She then drew on an etch-n-sketch pad what she had seen: my grandma on her hospital bed with two angels by her side..

Yes they can, young children and animals are the most susceptible to the spirit world. I know someone who's daughter(who is now 11) used to sit and talk with the angels that sat on her head. She even pointed to a picture of her great-great grandmother (as a young woman, not an old lady) who was long since deceased, and said that, that was the angel that had set her back to her mother, saying she needed her(this was all when she was four). You see, the doctors didn't think she'd survive being born as she was 2 months early, none of this was ever told to her.

I think that infants can see ghost. My four month old cousin,Destiny, will just start crying for no reason. I was babysitting her and she looked at the bow where we keep my grandfather's ashes and started crying. My grandfather has been dead for nine years. I actually had to take her out of the room to get her to calm down. She has done this many time before and since then. Once we actually had to leave the house for her to stop crying.

yes they are, babies and animals

I firmly believe that the very young and the very old can more easily see the spirit world.

We drove into the cemetary one day just cause, and my son (who was almost 2 at the time) Was waving and saying "bye bye" out the window. Recently I took him back (he's 3 now), just curious to see if he would do it again. He said nothing, other than commenting on the flowers. As we were leaving, he pointed at a gravestone and said "Look mommy"!!! It was the grave of my former employers wife!!! Mind you, this is a HUGE cemetary. Wierd!!!!

I believe they can see and talk to sprirts. My soon to be 11 month old son was in his crib the other day and started to shriek. My husband and I were both in the room folding his clothes. I thought he was just being fussy so we kept him in the crib. When we were finished folding his clothes I picked him up and he clung on to me for dear life. I wondered why he was so scared. There were 2 toys in his crib with him. 1 was a stuffed little cloth ball and the other was a rattle. I handed him the ball and he just started climbing me and clinging to me. I handed him the rattle and he took it. We gave him the ball again, and again he clung to me, nails digging into my skin and just trying to get away from this ball. He seemed extremely scared of this ball. I told my husband that the ball might have bad mojo. I told him to put the ball away. After my husband left the room I took the ball out again and still he was scared. I said to the ball, " Guys, leave him alone" and put the ball away. A few days later my husband took the ball out again and my son was not scared anymore. He played with the ball and there seemed to be no sign of anything bad. Weird...

Yes, I believe they can. We had a new yrs. party a few yrs. ago when my cuz's lil girl was 2. Curious n wanting a tour of our downstairs I showed her around but when I got to my bedroom n turned the light on, twice she said, "Turn the light off, I don't want to go in there!" My cuz was baffled. I explained that our house was previously owned by a family who's son had drown, as a young teen, in a neighbor's lake and having learned from others, our room had been his. For both, it was their first visit to our home. When her gramma, my aunt, asked a little later what had scared her in my room she said, "The guy ahind(behind) Becky." She always called our boysm who are teenagers, guys. Recently my 3 y/o niece n 1 y/o nephew visited. Three of us were in the living room, which is downstairs, and suddenly my niece came running into my arms scared silly. I asked her what she saw. She said, "A monster." Then a little later she looked back down the hallway that leads to my room and this time she saw a frog. (Remember that he had drown.) My nephew(only 1) would go to the hallway and point up and reach out towards the ceiling. I thought maybe he was gone but I guess not. I even contacted TAPS hoping they would come and make contact with him but they never responded back. Our boys finally stopped seeing and feeling his presence at about 12 or so. Some grow out of it, some don't I suppose. I get chills or goose bumps in certain areas downstairs...could just be that I freak myself out thinking about him.
