Isn't any book that's good for children good for girls? I'm not trying to make a social commentary- just curious. Also, I loved Green Eggs & Ham at that age.

My daughter loves any and all Dr. Seuss books, Fancy Nancy books (I have my mother to thank for those - they are really cute, though!), and she has recently gotten to the point where she can sit through one chapter of an American Girl book at night.

The one with the letters going up the tree, I loved that one, but I can't remeber the title. It went like, "Chigga Chigga boom boom, will there be enough room?"

Any of the Dora and Princess books are good of course Dr. Seuss and Disney books it depends on what she is interested in.
