  • Mohammed founded Islam. The reasons to believe him are the same ones as to believe any other person touted as a prophet, including Jesus. It is mostly faith.
  • The word Islam literally means ‘peace’ or ‘submission’. In the context of religion it means ‘submission to God’ and in this sense it was founded by God, for it is He who wants mankind to submit to His will. That’s the central message He has sent to mankind through all of His appointed messengers and prophets starting from Adam, through Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus to Mohammed to name but a very few. According to the Holy Qur’an (HQ) there hasn’t been a single people on this earth that has not had God’s central message of submission (ie Islam) not delivered to them. The reasons to believe in God can be found deep within oneself and, for those who can’t find any such reason within themselves, are also delivered by the prophets/messengers and can be found in the scriptures they left behind.
