I bought a used car in November 2006 (2002Hyundai Sonata) with only 15000 miles on it...It now has the check engine light on and the power steering hose had to be replaced, if this car only had 15000 miles on it how possible is it to have such problems?

Its a Hyundai. Made in Korea is NOT something to look for in a car. They've improved by leaps and bounds over the past three or four years, but the older cars have a lot of issues. Also, it may have 15K miles but it's still 5 years old. things break down in 5 years, as it is most cars are designed to last 6 years before they fail.

I have a 2004 hyundai sonata, It has been very reliable. Better than my dodge charger. Which needed a new transmission, abs system, tire pressure sensors and front suspension in the first year. At least it was covered by warranty. I will never by a new dodge again.
