I feel it would be much harder to find a question not already asked but maybe by then some of the unanswered questions will finally get the answers they deserve.

It depends what you goal is, and what your questions are. It seems that you can get more points by asking a lot of questions. So if your goal is to get a lot of points, maybe you should ask a lot of questions as soon as possible and later you won't have to ask as much because people will just chance upon your old questions and still answer them. But it would be better if you ask interesting questions. But many people have other goals such as getting answers to the questions which they really ask themselves in this moment, or helping other find an answer to their questions, or just having fun.

Oh, I don't know about that. I get most of my points by answering questions. AB was originally created as a database of FAQs. People starting asking questions about those answers, and it started growing. Soon the creators decided to make it a much more sociable site, and added a "gaming aspect" to it - the points. Now, if you are here to make points only, then simply asking and answering questions may be all you wish to do. However, it may come as a surprise to you that most people are here to help people and have fun. Few care THAT much about the points. Most of us consider them, as I say, "gravy", albeit, TASTY gravy. The fun is from the interactions with others - As with all friendships, it's the joking around, teasing, flirting, and, just in general, having and enjoyable time. And again, when you realize that you can actually help someone, that is what drew me in, and I'm sure, many others. So, if you like being boring, and simply asking questions, gathering points (does that mean you don't GIVE any?) and answering them, without paying attention to any of the comments and fun going on, that's up to you. It's not MY idea of why I'm here. ;-)
