  • My answer is based off some web searching since I can't think of any off hand. I'm going to say Eric Dolphy because he was #1 on the list so I am sure to enjoy his work based upon this logic.   • I'm not sure who's actually playing the flute but this is my favourite jazz flute song. It's by St Germain the song is called So Flute and the album is called Tourist.
  • Matt Eakle (SP??) He makes sounds come out of a flute I never knew could be made...lol.
  • His name was Michael Welisevitch, he played flute in my middle school jazz band. He's my favorite because he was willing to play flute in a band that had 4 trombones, 7 saxes, 3 trumpets, a guitar and bass, a drummer, and a piano.
