Who intimidated you more when you were a child (or even now) your mother or your father?

Out of the choices you gave I would say Father, however he was just bringing us up the way he believed. More intimidating was the Teachers who used to cane us all the time for minor infractions, they seemed to get a perverse pleasure from the power of inflicting pain :o(

Probably Dad, He had a fearsome yell! Never hit us, but was very vocal!

Neither of my parents intimidate me. They aren't there to intimidate you, they are there to help, and thats what they do.

As a child neither ever really intimidated me. Nowadays, I find myself being intimidated by my father in certain situations, though.

my dad cuz if u count the number of times he yelled at me,and hit me but get on his good side you get a playstation 2 and a nintendo ds :)

My father...he was in the marines for fifteen years.

Neither, however if I pushed my dad I would be more afraid of the consequences since he thought them out and always went through with them. It was no use being intimidated by my mom, you never knew when she was going to fly off the handle and I'm no shirking violet.

my dad... all he had to do was yell my name & i would cry... my mom could spank me for hours and i would just laugh at her... so yeah, definately my dad.

My father absolutely. His temper could flair in an instance and over who knew what reason! And he could curse in 5 languages and was sarcastic and hurtful. He still is at times, with the added characteristic of never being forgving:-(

My father. He wasn't violent, but he had a loud voice and when he got angry, you'd think he was.

My father definatly.. We aren't even close now that I'm older. It's weird because my Mom was the one who spanked me. But my father had a very stern, scary look on his face when he was mad. He would crunch up his lips, his eyes would get real big, and his voice. Ugh. It still scares me to this day. lol. Thank god I don't have to deal with that anymore.

I was never intimidated by either, i was just a really good kid, i never had to be punished once!

Intimidated me? The one that I avoided pissing off the most was my mother. My father had the temper and he yelled and screamed a lot and his yells were thunderous but my mother...boy, even though she was only 4'11" tall, she could scare me and my sister because she'd smack us without us seeing it coming but she would hardly say anything and her discipline was very affective. With dad, we got used to him.
