For me, natural means without artificial anything..in its original state...being neither "adjusted" nor "enhanced" to make it more palatable, appealing, attractive, acceptable. :)

By what occurs without the hand of Man or other intelligence to force it.

Isn't natural anything that exists? All processes are natural so even if human beings are involved it is still natural, we have not changed any fundamental laws or anything like that. I suppose you could argue there are supernatural things but I would argue anything that occurs in the universe is a natural process. Which would mean natural doesn't necessarily mean better.

That which is possible is natural. I know this goes against the popular definitions, but I would argue that man is natural, and therefore that which he can conceive is natural. That doesn't mean all natural things promote life. Some don't. I think it is natural for some species to die out, without humans interfering to keep them going. It is also natural for humans to think they know best and interfere with a species dying out naturally. I think it is natural for all things to be cyclical, including political and social trends. For example, in the Middle Ages it was natural for girls of 12 or 13 to marry men of 40, and it wasn't called pedophilia - it was because women had such short lifespans. I think "nature" encompasses all that exists, in all its forms and manifestations.
