  • As with everything else stamped with an expiration date in our society, vitamins can still be effective after that date has passed. That being said, I'd say that an opened bottle of vitamins would start to lose potency about 60 days past the date stamped. An unopened bottle may last longer as it would not be exposed to humidity and oxygen, but I would not take them much past 120 days.
