Central but it doesn't seem to cool off the second floor....my house was built new and even then it never cooled as well. So we have a window unit in our bedroom.

don't have A/C in Vancouver..it usually only averages about 75 degrees in summer..

We have nothing to cool us down except ceiling fans. We're pretty happy all year in a log house. It stays rather cool during the summer if I don't open the windows and doors and let in the hot humid air. Except for maybe 3-4 days a year when it's in the 90s and humidity is super high, we do okay.

Central heating, we very rarely need A/C in the UK just ceiling fans.
