Sure. And I'd ask for a sample of whatever it was he was baking. ^_^
-
No... I'm out of eggs. I will send them with sugar and milk, though.
-
No, but I'd give them directions to the supermarket.
-
sorry, im all out of sugar
-
I would charge them £5... Why do I have to suffer because they are unorganised!
-
Yep. Though if they were close enough to walk and ask for baking goods, I'd assume they were close enough to not be a stranger after that, too.
-
I'd probably just give them the finger. Welcome to NYC
-
I wouldn't let him/her in but I would gather up some stuff to give.
-
Probably not.
-
Only if they bring me cookies or cakes when there done. JK! Yes I would help them out.
-
I would if I could, but I don't have any.
-
If I had it and didn't need it real bad, sure, why not. Though I would wonder where they came from and where they were going to use it since there are only 4 houses up here:-)
-
My husband would not let me open the door to a stranger. I am sorry if this sounds cold but there are to many weirdos out there and he protects what is his.
-
I might give them one of those things - but if they asked me for all three I'd wonder why they were trying to make something they clearly had none of the ingredients for. It's one thing to be short one egg, or maybe a little milk or sugar... because you overestimated what you had in your pantry - but to not have any of it? That's just lack of planning. If they asked me right now I could give them some eggs - but that's about it.
-
considering that i live on a high security naval installation, if someone knocked on my door asking for that, i'd have to restrain them until base police came to get them.
-
Yes I would give them what they asked for then I would fire my security.
-
surely would.
-
I'm out of sugar right now. With the price of milk, maybe not.
-
If I had it, why not?
-
No. I'd think it was a scam to get inside my house.
-
You mean they would be after my dough? Hell, no.
-
Id be like " One thing ! You can ask to borrow one thing a month !"
-
Yes, my neighbors are my family and we all live in a Rural area where you have to drive at least 10 minutes to a half way descent place that sells any kind of food.
-
i dont answer the door but yeah I would.
-
i would give them half a cup of sugar, 1 egg, and condensed milk.
-
If it was someone that I knew, I would answer the door and probably give it to them if I had the ingredients in the house. If it was someone I didnt know then I wouldnt even open the door.
-
It would be so unusual and out of the norm that I think that most people would do it just beause they would otherwise be forced to have to say "no" and most people feel more uncomfortable to say "no" than to just give them those items.
-
i just have sugar..they can have all they want.im sweet enough already.
-
well...that depends on what they're going to USE it for, doesn't it?
-
chances are i don't have those ingredients haha...so probably not
-
Yes neighbors used to do this all the time. I have not been asked in awhile however.
-
It sure beats the stranger who constantly knocks on my door to sell me something - so, yes, I would!
-
LOL. Yes. But I live rural so that would be the oddest thing ever.
-
only if I knew them
-
Yes.
-
I'd give them the sugar. I wouldn't have the eggs or milk.
-
NO
-
Well , I'd give them the eggs and milk ; BUT I couldn't help with the sugar as NO sugar comes into my home.
-
a friend maybe....but a stranger?? have you ever seen "Funny Games"? besides, they would never get 2 seconds through my fence....my doggies would make sure of that.
-
yes
-
Nope, I don't buy milk.
-
If I had it I would would, but I would also think it would be a little odd to be short of all three things if he was baking with them, but thats ok.
-
If I had it I totally would. I would give the shirt off my back if someone asked.
-
Nope, I can't give what I don't have.
-
i do that any way. It's funny, there's a french guy from floor below that always comes to ask for something... Once he came in to ask for a wine bottle opener, I didn't have one so I sent him away, bt before leaving he asked if Bianca was there. I told him that there is no Bianca living in my corridor. Another time he knocked on the door, a girl who I got on very well with opened the door. Again he asked for a bottle opener. As he left he asked her too if Bianca lives here. She told him too that she doesn't live here. I wonder why he keeps trying to get hold of this girl...
-
id just give him a cake, it would be easier!!
-
NO!I would call the police
-
Sure!! I'd tell them if they needed coffee as well!
-
I could only spot him/her the milk. I don't keep sugar or eggs.
-
Yes .. Well I have the sugar and the milk but I used up my last eggs for the cake I made.. But I would give em' a slice of cake! :)
-
I would point out to him the direction of the nearest supermarket or store. I don't think you should allow anyone in, they may be casing your place.
