Are you playing games on your cellphone? if so, it eats electricity from your battery and shortens charging times. on a trip, are you less likely to be playing a game, thus causing the battery to last longer? if all else fails, have the cellphone battery checked.

Do you live in an area with a weak network signal? IF so that may be the case. At one of my work place there is no signal (1 bar or none), so my cell phone constantly searches for a network signal which drains the battery life really fast. If your home is a place where there are very few bars maybe thats it.

I find that if my phone is left on in areas with no signal, the charge is gone in about 2 hours. In areas with signal it can last about 2-3 days. I figure that it's constantly working to find a signal so it goes dead.
