  • Hi Daley- Age 34..discussed among ourselves...started grad school at the same year so I wouldn't put it off...would do the same :)
  • Well, things didn't work out the way I had planned. I got married at 19, had my first child at 20, my third child at 24. The original plan was for the first child to be at 24. I would still like for it to have happened that way, or closer to it. As things were, it took me 14 years to go back to college. That was and is my biggest regret in starting a family so quickly.
  • I wanted a child since I was a little girl. I got married at 21 & 5 years later my husband still wasn't ready so I gave him a choice, a baby or a divorce. I had a baby & 2 years later we got divorced
  • I was 20 when my 1st husband & I decided to have our first child.I quite smoking and began eating very nourishing foods {no Mcdonalds etc.}We didn't tell anyone. In fact I didn't even know I was pregnant until at a family funtion my father said "You are pregnant!" Got a test and I was. My last child {7yrs}was a surprise baby! And she is my greatest surprise!!
  • I haven't had children yet. But I have decided that I'll have them in my late 20's or early 30's. Too selfish to have children right now.
  • I was in my 20's. We knew before we got married that we would be trying before the end of our 1st year. We already had good finances, so $$ wasn't an issue. I went to my OBGyn had a complete physical and he gave me some pre-natal pills to use prior to conception and warned me that it takes most couples a long time to conceieve. Went home, a month later had a trial run through... 2 weeks later discovered I was pregnant. The only thing I would have done differently was waited a few more months. We wanted to be pregnant by our 1st anniversary, not about to give birth!
  • I'd wanted a coupla kids since 32ish, but didn't get married until 38(!). The clock was ticking, so we had our daughter 1.5 years later, and our son 4.25 years after that (after an intervening miscarriage). We were OK financially & everything, and healthy, but my wife did get a ... whatsit when they take and analyze a sample of amniotic fluid, just so we could start planning if she had Downs Syndrome. I don't know of anything we would have really done differently.
  • #1 at 35, #2 at 37, #3 at 39. Didn't take any special steps or prepare in any special way other than buying a minivan when the decision to have the third came. :)
