Why is it do you think? Women have the flu, but men have a special Man flu, there temp is always higher, there headache's are more painful, there bones ache much more than a womans, do men really get it worse than women OR can women cope with it better?

My wife seems to get hit harder than i do when either of us get the flu... but i dont handle it as gracefully as she does...

This question is funny to me because when I get sick, I'm just sick, I don't make a big production out of it like my husband does, and I don't feel the need to go out of my way to let everyone know just how sick I am. In my opinion, I'm sorry, but I think women handle it WAY better than most men. Note: I didn't say ALL men, but MOST! :)

I can tell you with absolute certainty that I am a complete wuss when I am ill. My Ladies will be running around ignoring the aches and pains and I am sitting or laying there grumbling.

Women handle it better, plain and simple, in my opinion. There have been many times when I have been sick, right along with my ex (and former boyfriends/fiance) and I dealt with it much better. My son is a big baby when he's sick; my daughter not so much.

Speaking personally, the opposite is true of me. I am the worst patient on earth - get really impatient, bored, fed-up. I just don't like being inactive, but things like flu do knock me over now and then and I know a bit of rest is necessary. I know guys, OTOH, who cope amazingly well even when quite ill, have a really practical approach of just going to sleep and waking up when better and they have all their energy back again - without one complaint.

Well that women can cope with it better isn't true I know. Men have a higher pain tolerance. Now that alone doesn't mean they cope with it better but women are more sensitive to pain. So I'm not sure about the flu but judging from the above information that must be it. Either it's that or (I just remembered this) men are not used to pain. That's because like I said they have a higher pain tolerance then women. So they don't feel as severe pain as often. So when something like the flu or something similar to that hit us, it's a much stronger pain than we're used to. So it depends how you look at my answer. Either you could think I think women cope with it better or you could think I think that men have a special man flu. Take this as you will.

I Don't know if it is true for flu. But there are lots of illness's that effect only the male population, or as you have said, effect the Male's more than the Females.. Women's immune system is naturally stronger, This is because.. It would only take a single male to impregnate all the females again, but if there was only a single woman.. the species would almost certainly die out, because we couldn’t reproduce at a fast enough rate. This is why, in many species, illnesses, particularly genetic illnesses, are unique to only the male population. So to answer your question, I’d say that it’s possible that men get it worse than women, but at the same time I think women probably deal with it better aswell.

Lol, special Man flu? Is that like congestion of the balls or something? How badly someone gets the flu and how they react to it has nothing to do with their genitals, it has to do with their immune system and personality.
