Sorry my friend. My American League team are the Twins. I stopped liking the Yankees when George and Billy were making a mockery of the sport. One's a thief and the other was an acloholic with a Napolean complex. I'm neutral on the Red Sox, my father was born just outside of Boston. He was unique, he liked the Yankees and Red Sox.
I like the Twins because their AA team plays 30 minutes from me and I have met dozens of major leaguers who played there.

that's ok Ed NYBaller you think ARod and the rest of those overpaid undr performing primadonnas are gonna hgett off their butts this post season and actually act as if they care or you think they're all gonna depend on Jeter to pull off all the miracles for them again?

How about Posada? He's having a great year and he's not too young. But all everyone talks about is billionaires like Jeter, A-Rod (future baseball team owner), Clemens(how much for a .500 pitcher who can't go every 5th day?).
by Ed the Jetpacking Headbanger on September 26th, 2007
lol I agree Ed but what pisses me is how the last couple of post seasons everyone depends on Jeter to pull it together. A Rod Posada and the likes all do great during regular season but comes the post season seems the only one who gives a damn is Jeter

And let's not forget Rivera who choked versus the Diamondbacks and hasn't looked to great earlier this year. Bring on Joba! He's a great kid.
by Ed the Jetpacking Headbanger on September 26th, 2007
yes I agree forgot about Rivera too. I got a funny feeling if the usual happens this post season Steinbrenner is going to be shopping for a new manager next season.

I think it may be Torre's last season. Bring on Girardi.
by Ed the Jetpacking Headbanger on September 26th, 2007
yeah or what about Mattingly I think he could do a good job especially since he played for the Yanks and is somewhat familar with how the orginization works.
by asweetguy4u2know saya R.I.P Nelson on September 26th, 2007
Girardi was an excellent manager in FLorida, they screwed him. Mattingly has never managed. Girardi did play for the Yankees.
by Ed the Jetpacking Headbanger on September 26th, 2007
yep I remember when he did and you are right about Girardi being a good manager.Hey you hear anything Ed about what was going one with the ownership. I read a couple of months back that Steinbrenner was gonna turn the orginization over to his son in law til he decided to screw his daughter over and file for divorce. I heard something about the son in law supposedly suing the family for a stake in the orginization what's up with that.
by asweetguy4u2know saya R.I.P Nelson on September 26th, 2007
I haven't heard anything since the son-in-law fell from favor with the Boss.
by Ed the Jetpacking Headbanger on September 26th, 2007
me neither but haven't been keeping up with the news much lately.
