Much more info is required such as. year make model engine incl. vin# usually the 8th didgit on 1981 and newer year's. then if realative 2 or 4 bbl carb and type "stock" or holley or preadator or carter and if mod's have been done also most fuel inj. systems are not adjustable except in rare circumstance's IE early chevy 57-63 and some BMW-MERC.-VOLKSWAGEN systems the ans. to this question can only be as compleat as the info provided also specify what equipment you have IE. tach - 2 gas infared 3-4 gas infared Dyno or not

Older engines are usually a matter of re-jetting the carbeurator, though some carbs have mixture adjustment capabilities. Most engines with electornic fuel injection require re-programming (or replacing) the engine control module to send different pulses to the injectors.
