  • I doubt that any profits were made directly from slave labor; but I have read that there were banking connections between a bank in which Prescott Bush had interests and high ranking Nazi officials through Switzerland. My source is the records of the trial of Alfried Krupp at Nuremberg. Krupp was the head of the Krupp family industries that produced much of the war materials for the Nazi. - He was convicted, sentenced to 12 years in prison and the forfeture of all the family properties. Now comes the amazing part. A Wall Street lawyer, with OSS connections (the OSS was the precurser of the CIA)by the name of John J. McCloy, appealed the sentence. Krupp was released from prison and the family fortune and industrial properties were restored. There's a movie or book in this story.
  • There are murky pasts all over the world, the sins of our fathers is not really our problem as long as we are not perpetuating the problem. There are a lot of things that you could say about GWB but he is certainly not a Nazi! He was mis-guided (I believe) over Iraq and made serious errors of judgment but he did what he thought was right! The press love to dig this sort of stuff up but I am sure that if we delved into their past history we would find many a skeleton in the cupboard!
  • According to classified documents from Dutch Intelligence and the U.S. government archives, President George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, made considerable profits off Auschwitz slave labor. In his quest to get rich Prescott Bush collaborated with the Nazis before war broke out and through the year after Pearl Harbor. President Bush himself is an heir to these profits from the holocaust which were placed in a blind trust in 1980 by his father, former president George Herbert Walker Bush. • i would think so and after reading "kedars'" links it seems rather obvious. whats more interesting and important would be, shouldn't that money be taken away from them and put towards creating a better society. this makes me sick, hasn't the bush family done enough damage? when is enough enough??? how much money do they need???
