We do for our dog, just so she has noise.

I always leave the radio on when I leave, partly so that the dog has some company and partly so that if anyone should break in it might deter them - I leave talk stations on so it sounds like there are voices.

My g/f does when I take my dog to her place. I think it's strange. I'm with my dog often enough to know that she sleeps just as much whether I'm watching TV or not. Besides, she goes nuts when a doorbell rings on the TV:)

I don't think anyone does.

I did when I had dogs. Partly to keep them company and partly to keep them from barking at outside noises. My husband said I was nuts.
