  • I think it would be helpful. We have to realize that there are ways to teach someone and ways to do their work for them. If someone asks about a math problem, don't just do the problem for them. Help them. Ask them questions. Allow them to do the question on their own while you aid them with concepts and input.
  • It was that "Write a paragraph about Einstein" question that finally broke you, wasn't it!!!!???? Sometimes I can tell when it is a homework Q and I don't mind helping - I sometimes try to give a link where they can go learn more about it themselves. I don't think it would encourage more of those questions, but I do think sticking to categories based on the actual content of the question & not why the person is asking it is important. There may be a time in the future where someone is searching AB for info on a specific topic and the Q & A that was asked as homework may be helpful to them. They wouldn't go looking for it under "homework" though....
  • No, I don't beleive there should be such a catagory. It would, as you pointed out, encourage people to not do their own work, since someone on AB can just do it for them. Homework is about reinforcing the material taught to you in class, if you take that away... why give it at all? Besides, it's CHEATING as far as I'm concerned.
  • I would love it. You could give more help than just the final answer. Great idea.
  • Why don't you make that category right now? It would help others.
