  • Because they need someone to not like. School is hard. I go to a public school and although, no, I'm not colored and do not know how that is like, I relate to the outcast or loner part. You'll notice, at this age, people are less accepting of others. Come on here, and look, we almost all love each other. There is a maturity level, something these people at your school are less likely to take notice to I'm afraid. Please, keep your head up. =)
  • I don't think there's anything wrong with you, i just think they're a bunch of snobs! Financial aid isn't a biggie, A LOT of people are on it for their school, as am I. And for the Latina, people can be pretty simple-minded. Don't let it get to you. I'm assuming your private school is a good school... and you're effin bomb, you've obviously earned the privilege of studying there when most of those people just had "daddy" pay their way. There will always be people who won't like you for a lotta reasons whether its you background, education, sex... and maaany other things. Don't let it get to you. Be proud of you heritage, study hard so you can make something of yourself... to give your family pride.
  • Maybe because you are doing just as well as them with none of their advantages :) NEVER EVER EVER (sorry to shout but...) let ANYONE make you feel that you are IN ANY WAY inferior! You are as worthy as anyone else! As for the race issue - if they are that stupid then you don't want their acceptance. Believe in yourself - if people are giving you a hard time it is their problem - NOT yours! :)
  • Act like you belong there. Every place is God's territory and you are allowed to be anywhere your feet find you to be! Try to find friends outside of school for support. Remember that school will be over quicker than you think and that it will look nice on your resume!
