I look forward to answers when I need it when asked, and sometimes, I look at opinions at other members when I asked as well.
-
It is because I want an answer. I am not that much of an asker on AB, so if I ask a question it is for the answers.
-
take me out back and shoot me, but its dare i say, both, but its mostly because i need answers. and i love answering question too.
-
I came here looking for answers and didn't figure out the points thing for a couple of weeks. Eight months now and I am only level 31.
-
I ask questions because I want the answers, or just for fun. The questions I've asked that I consider really good or thought-provoking rarely get high points. The highest I've gotten was a question about Oprah. :(
-
I am on answerbag and answering, asking questions because of the Human interaction with others. (I like the people here)
-
If you looked at my profile you would see that I have asked very few questions. Those few times I have asked questions it was primarily because I was seeking information and I am not concerned about the points that those questions may or may not have generated.
-
Yes.
-
I am here because this is one of the only port holes looking out of my self built tower of seclusion. ( hey I can see your house from up here)
-
mainly generate points, just for fun (theres something i thought i woudl never say). wish i was better at it though :(
-
I very rarely ask questions, and when I do it's because I want/need an answer. Not only do I not ask questions for points, I don't answer for them either. It's just a fun place with great people..the points are nice but not the sole purpose for being here.
-
I ask questions mainly for an answer to them. I know I have asked alot of silly questions that would seem like I was just trying to generate points but that was not the intention behind it as much as it was to just try and be silly so as to keep from losing it.
-
No I ask for answers or just because they are funny to think about and others answering it can laugh. Most of my questions go with out answers or even points. If you want points try answering questions in a funny or serious(giving information) way and people will.
-
to get anwers what else is the point. I like to see other peoples take on things its entertaning
-
I never think about points. I know I'll eventually get to all the levels (if I choose to stay). I'm really only looking for interesting responses.
-
I'm a total Noob so I don't care for the points. Just interacting and distracting myself from this work of mine. p.s. i really want answer's to my ? 's
-
I love the interaction with people who give me their answers, especially when they are interesting.
-
i want answers
-
I have only just really started asking questions and the type of question I ask do not generate a lot of points. I tend to ask more knowledge based questions which I do know the answer to, because you need to know the answer to be able to rate the answer. I could get more points answering questions if that was the only object of the exercise or by asking fluff or converastional questions which are the kind that earn a lot of points. I ask the type of question I do because they do I hope add something to the knowledge database.
-
I am all about recognition and points.
-
If I cared about the points I wouldn't ask some of the invisible questions I have. Either I want an answer, or I want others to find one I already have.
-
Mostly for answers, sometimes for fun but I'm not concerned with points.
-
I ask for answers. Apart form my congratulatory/user questions, most of my questions don't garner many points. I ask about things I really want to know or just crazy things because I want to interact with other ABers.
-
Both. It's fun to receive points and answers.
-
Mostly for answers, sometimes for educational purposes, sometimes for fun, but never for point. I do like points, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't ask a question just for points
-
I ask questions because I'm a yenta and I like to talk to everybody!!;)
-
I answer question for fun. By the way some people ask some ADD questions.
-
I couldn't care much for the points...after all, what are they worth? Yes, it's fun but Answerbag is more of a place where you can exchange knowledge, and discuss topics in comment threads. (although the comment thread thing doesn't happen with me very often...:â—‹Þ)
-
For the answers and i like to talk to people. :)
-
If I ask a question it is because I genuinely want to know fellow ABer's answers. I truly value the insight and opinions of the majority of Aber's, even if I think your answer is a load of bull baloney.
-
For answers
-
I don't do anything for points. I know I'll reach all the levels eventually.
-
I tried the cute gimme points kind of question and I guess I'm not that good at it. I have gotten many more points for real questions. Ooooh Wait.. I ask them for pointless answers!
-
I'm going to be honest as say both. But I will never post a question soley for it's point value.
-
The points of course. The wealth of points earned for a question is so fulfilling not to the mention the taste of teh jawbreakers once you trade them in.
-
I find myself scrambling for questions.. How do you.. Would you ever.. If you had.. dangit, all already asked. >.< I am going to be truthful and say that I ask questions that I enjoy getting answers to, like, I'm not going to ask something that I could care less about, but when I get points I have a little personal party. XD "Do a little dance, get down tonight, get down tonight.." So I ask more questions than I would if I didn't get points, but I enjoy getting answers to my questions just as much, I would rather get an answer than +pts because someone thought my question was good, that way I would feel like I was accomplishing something and wasn't just a wall decoration, lol
-
Do you honestly think point whores will answer with the latter?
-
Honestly, I ask questions to give something back to Answerbag. That, and because I'd like answers on something I'm thinking about. Points are fun, but that's all
-
I never do anything for points. Everyone gets to the next level eventually. It really doesn't matter (unless you are trying to get up on the leaderboard for the week in which case you'll just be left with an empty feeling and wondering why you spent all that time doing something so worthless when you could have spent the time on something worthwhile).
-
No, I usually ask questions when I'm stressed about something or perplexed and want a fresh idea. It helps, trust me, to get unbiased opinions. These are answers from people who don't know me, so they're not just saying what they think I want to hear, or something to placate me. I come here for honesty.
-
That would be kind of silly because you don't get a free toaster or anything when you reach a higher level. They are talking about putting in a salad bar though;)
-
I'm also interested in other's opinions. About 90% of my questions ask for those. The points come if that question is interesting or involving enough.
-
I like to ask questions for the answers, but I only ask conversational questions. I like to see what people think....
-
I do not ask questions, but I enjoy reading what other questions are out there and what the responses are. You can tell a genuine question from a bogus one, and for those who ask an honest question, it is interesting to see this forum respond in kind. the system does not work 100% correct, but we can get a feeling from the questions and answers here of what is on peoples minds today ----
-
Most the time I ask questions to get the answers..that's why I don't have that many. If I feel the need to ask I will and read every answer regardless if I agree or disagree with it.
-
Most of us could care less about the points yo...:)
-
The reason I ask the questions I do,is because I'm curious as to what people will say when they answer them. It's very entertaining ;)
-
I like to see what people thing about the issues. Also, extra points for posting a proper question in the ANSWERBAG QUESTIONS catagory... half the time people post their regular questions there.
