If you flip to the back of an Oxford English Dictionary there will be a section on 'English Grammar', just try and learn the rules and stick to them.

Ash, there are certainly grammar texts that you can study, ..but, the best way is simply to 'read'. Read a lot. Read newspapers, good mags,..books,.. both fiction and non-fiction. It is good to read a book or an article that you are really interested in; it seems less like "study", then. And the grammar will begin to imprint itself in your mind. I studied German in school. I memorized and memorized, but it was when I started to read Erich Remarque , "Im Weste, Stille", and Gunter Gras, "Die Blechtrommel", in German that I really started to "learn".
